Post type current transformer is applicable for power systems of rated frequency 50Hz or 60Hz and rated voltage up to 35kV.It produces a current in its secondary which is proportional to the current in its primary. It' s used for protection,measurement and control in medium-voltage electrical substations and the electrical grid.
